A Critical Moment
Well, the tension comes to a head in today’s episode. You’ll remember, in our last episode, Francis was pretty upset at Casey. The flowers he sent to another woman didn’t go to a little old lady, but to a young woman recently divorced. It really seems like Casey has been playing with Fran’s heart. She is rightfully upset. But in today’s episode, when Casey is about to slip away from her for good, Fran realizes how much he means to her — love is proven through crisis.
Sometimes it is in those critical moments in life, when the situation could just as easily go one way as the other, when there is a lot at stake — a lot that could be lost, we act decisively. Those moments call for quick decisions. They cut through all of the doubts that have been cautioning us and reveal the heart’s true feelings. If we act quickly, we’ve probably based our actions on our feelings rather than logically reasoning things out. So people make rash decisions, like jumping into the water to save a drowning friend — even though they are tired themselves and don’t have any training as a lifeguard. We think of them as heroes for trying, for disregarding their own safety for the sake of another person’s life — even if they fail or die trying.
In today’s episode, Fran throws caution to the wind. She makes commitments that a mere 12 hours before she wasn’t ready to make. Listen and try to understand Fran’s situation.

Let’s Talk
So, what do you think? Casey’s dark family secrets are all out in the open. That’s better. Knowing about them earlier would have saved Fran a lot of mental anguish. They seem like two ‘love birds’ now, but with divorce running in Casey’s family…well, what do you think? Should Fran marry him? If she did, how long do you predict their marriage would last? If you were Fran’s best friend, would you be warning her or congratulating her? Leave a comment and let us know.
